Chelsea striker Diego Costa has been a consistent goalscorer all through the campaign. He led the charts early on following a bright start, but was threatened following the return of Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero. The Argentine was in fine form immediately after returning from injury, but has since been sidelined again, which sees Costa potentially running away in the scoring charts.

Signed from Atletico Madrid for around £32M last summer, the 26-year-old has scored 15 goals in 18 Premier League games. He’s hardly gone on a goal drought in the campaign so far, and certainly looks capable of remaining of staying on top of the charts come May.

He does have competition from Sergio Aguero still, but his fitness could well be a factor. Queens Park Rangers striker Charlie Austin (13) and Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez (12) are both still keeping tabs on Costa, but Ladbrokes are backing the Brazilian-borm Spanish international with odds of 4/5 to be the top scorer in the division this season.
