Competition: Premier League
Market: Fabregas to be PFA Player of the Year
Odds: 11/1 @ William Hill

After Chelsea’s summer signing Cesc Fabregas put in a man of the match performance on his Premier League return, the Spanish midfielder is being tipped to be a PFA Player of the Year contender this season.

The former Arsenal and Barcelona man joined Chelsea this summer for around £30M, and he made two assists in last night’s 3-1 win against Burnley. His manager Jose Mourinho singled him out for praise for his creativity in the middle of the park, and now William Hill are giving odds of 11/1 for him to be named PFA Player of the Year.

He will have competition, however. Eden Hazard was outstanding in the Burnley win and has also been tipped to set the Premier League alight. Arsenal new-boy Alexis Sanchez is another player many believe could enjoy a good season.

With Cesc Fabregas coming off the back of eight goals and 13 assists last season, Chelsea are hoping he can replicate such antics in 2014/15. His two assists from his first game are leading many to believe he can be a standout star in the top flight.
