Chelsea 1/2 to win against Championship high-flyers Derby County in tomorrow’s Capital One Cup clash

Posted December 15th, 2014 | By: Crippy Cooke

Competition: Capital One Cup
Market: Chelsea to win against Derby
Odds: 1/2 @ William Hill

Chelsea are hoping to stay on course to win all four major trophies this season when they face Derby County in the Capital One Cup quarter-finals. The Blues have been questionable playing away from home, drawing three and losing one of their last six league games on the road, but a 5-0 away thrashing against Schalke in the Champions League proved their worth.

Derby have been somewhat shaky of late too, with the Rams having lost four of their last eight games, relinquishing their past at the top of the table. Steve McClaren’s men will be full of confidence of giving Chelsea a game at home, given their 6 wins, 3 draws and 1 defeat at the iPro stadium, but Chelsea want to win the competition.

Mourinho will name a strong side to get the job done on Tuesday night, as his men don’t play again until Monday the following week, so they will receive adequate rest. As a result, William Hill are giving odds of 1/2 for the Blues to beat Derby in the Capital One Cup quarter-finals and subsequently progress to the last-four of the competition.
