Chapecoense 9/5 to win against Avai in Sunday’s Brazilian Serie A clash

Posted August 27th, 2017 | By: Crippy Cooke

Competition: Brazilian Serie A
Market: Chapecoense to win against Avai
Odds: 9/5 @ William Hill

Chapecoense travel to the Ressacada to face Avai in the Brazilian Serie A, and could well pick up all three points given their impressive recent form on the road, coupled with the lack of wins from the hosts in recent weeks. Chapecoense could move up five places up the table with a win, while Avai would go level on points with the visitors if they can come out on top.

As for the hosts, Claudinei Oliveira’s Avai side are currently 19th in the Brazilian Serie A table with 22 points from 21 games this season, coming off the back of just one win from their last five. Avai can’t buy a win at home either, picking up just two victories at the Ressacada in their previous 10. Chapecoense could capitalise as a result.

Vinícius Eutrópio’s side find themselves 16th in the division with 25 points, having won one of their last two games, and two of their last three away from home. Chapecoense could go six points clear of Avai with a win, and their superior recent record sees William Hill giving odds of 9/5 for the visitors to pick up all three points.
