Celtic 4/9 to win against St Johnstone in this afternoon’s Scottish Premiership clash
Competition: Scottish Premiership
Market: Celtic to win against St Johnstone
Odds: 4/9 @ William Hill
Celtic travel to McDiarmid Park to face St Johnstone in the Scottish Premiership this afternoon, and are big favourites to pick up all three points to go 27 points clear at the summit and register their 19th consecutive win in the division this season under manager Brendan Rodgers.
Hosts St Johnstone are currently fifth in the Scottish Premiership with 34 points from 23 games, having won back-to-back ahead of today’s meeting. However, their form at McDiarmid Park is surprisingly inconsistent. St Johnstone have failed to win four of their last six games in the division and could come unstuck to the in-form leaders as a result.
Celtic are top of the Scottish Premiership table with 67 points from a possible 69 this season, coming off the back of 18 wins on the bounce. The Bhoys are storming to the title and have won 10 of 11 away games in 2016/17 to threaten a win over St Johnstone when the two sides lock horns.
The hosts are sure to make life difficult but given Celtic have averaged just shy of three goals per game, William Hill are giving odds of 4/9 for the visitors to come out on top today.
