Celtic 1/6 to win against St Johnstone in Saturday’s Scottish Premiership clash

Posted August 26th, 2017 | By: Crippy Cooke

Competition: Scottish Premiership
Market: Celtic to win against St Johnstone
Odds: 1/6 @ William Hill

Celtic welcome St Johnstone to Celtic Park in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, and are big favourites to pick up all three points given their bright start to the new season. The defending champions have a 100% record to maintain, let alone their unbeaten run from last season, although St Johnstone have started the campaign brightly and might present the Bhoys with a challenge.

As for the hosts, Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic side are currently top of the Scottish Premiership with nine points from their first three games of the season. The title-winners beat Hearts 4-1, Partick Thistle 1-0 and Kilmarnock 2-0, and should stay top of the pile if they pick up all three points to St Johnstone. With Rodgers’ men still unbeaten from all of last season, Celtic are setting records each week, and St Johnstone would love to be the side that ends it on Saturday.

As for the visitors, Tommy Wright’s side find themselves second in the division level on points with Celtic. However, St Johnstone have lost their last four head-to-heads with the Bhoys and could well come unstuck against this weekend as a result. William Hill are giving odds of 1/6 for Celtic to win against St Johnstone.
