Celtic 1/20 to retain the title following upturn in form

Posted October 28th, 2014 | By: Crippy Cooke

Competition: Scottish Premier League
Market: Celtic to retain the title
Odds: 1/20 @ Ladbrokes

Celtic have turned their season around after a poor start under new manager Ronny Deila, and the Bhoys look set to retain their title if they can maintain their form.

The Glaswegians will go joint top of the table if they win their game in hand, but started campaign terribly. Celtic lost two and drawn two of six league games between the end of August and the start of October, which saw them languishing in the title. But now they look set to push for the top spot after picking up three wins from their last four games.

Ronny Deila was close to losing his job if their poor form continued, but now Ladbrokes are giving odds of 1/20 for Celtic to win the title. They won the league the campaign before under former manager Neil Lennon and a slash in the budget meant Deila had a very difficult task to ensure his side could stay in contention of winning the Scottish Premier League.
