Celta Vigo 4/6 to win against Panathinaikos in Thursday’s Europa League clash

Competition: Europa League
Market: Celta Vigo to win against Panathinaikos
Odds: 4/6 @ William Hill

Spanish La Liga side Celta Vigo welcome Greek Super League outfit Panathinaikos to the Baladios on Thursday evening in the Europa League, and are favourites to come out on top to potentially leapfrog leaders Ajax at the summit.

Celta drew their opening game in the competition to Belgian Jupiler Pro League side Standard Liege, and have slowly come into form in the last few weeks to put themselves in great shape to finally win in Europe. The Spaniards have picked up seven points from nine in La Liga, and should be too much for a Panathinaikos side expected to be whipping boys in the competition.

The visitors lost their first Group G game to Ajax and are underdogs ahead of Thursday’s meeting at the Baladios with their inferior squad quality and form. Celta won their last home game in La Liga to Sporting Gijon and will be full of confidence of making it four points from two games in their Europa League group.

Victory for Panathinaikos would see them overtake Celta and potentially go second, but William Hill are giving odds of 4/6 for the hosts to deliver at the Baladios.
