Carlo Ancelotti 5/4 to be appointed next Manchester City manager

Posted May 25th, 2015 | By: Crippy Cooke

Competition: Premier League
Market: Carlo Ancelotti to be next Man City manager
Odds: 5/4 @ Coral

After a trophyless season, Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini could well find himself sacked this summer. The Chilean coach won the league and Capital One Cup double in his debut campaign in England, but has struggled to come close to replicating such feats a second time round.

City fell short in the Premier League, and suffered premature exits in the two domestic cups. They struggled in the Champions League by some distance, and are now looking for a manager who can turn them into a top side in the country again, while wanting somebody who can better their fortunes in Europe too.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti could be available, following a trophyless season in Spain, and he’s won the Premier League title before with former side Chelsea, not to mention winning the Champions League three times in total.

Manchester City are understandably very keen to get into contact with the Italian coach, as they feel he could turn them into title-chasers for 2015/16, which sees Coral giving odds of 5/4 for Ancelotti to become Manchester City manager this summer.
