Can Everton arrest their slide at home to West Ham?
Competition: Premier League
Market: Everton to win against West Ham
Odds: 4/9 @ Ladbrokes
Despite Everton having lost three out of their last four league games, and facing a strong West Ham side who have won four matches on the bounce, they will still fancy their chances when both clubs meet this weekend at Goodison Park.
Everton’s home form has remained solid despite their woes of late. Roberto Martinez’s side have lost just once at home all season, while their opponents have only won three times on their travels – albeit two of the wins having been recently.
Nevertheless, Ladbrokes are backing Everton with odds of 4/9 to get themselves back to winning ways at home to the Hammers.
The Toffees also boast a superb record against Sam Allardyce’s men. They haven’t lost to West Ham in the Premier League since 2007 – in which they were defeated 1-0 at Upton Park. 2005 was the last time West Ham won on Everton’s home ground, which highlights the difficult task at hand for them – regardless of current domestic form.
Everton were 4th in the league after a 2-0 win against Norwich in mid-January, but the recent slump now sees Everton in 7th place in the table. Will they arrest their slide with a much-needed victory against West Ham this weekend?
