Burnley recently won 1-0 at home to Manchester City to boost their survival hopes at the perfect point of the season. The Clarets have surprised many with how close they are to hauling themselves from the drop zone, given how poorly they started the campaign. Manager Sean Dyche has been lauded for having the newly-promoted outfit just one point adrift of safety 29 games in. He could well find himself the recipient of accolades in the summer.

Should Burney survive, there’s little doubt Dyche will be named LMA Manager of the Year for confounding all his critics, but there’s still plenty of work to do. Burnley stil need to make ground on the side around them in the table, and they have a very difficult run of games to come that could quell any sign of a resurgence – Southampton (away), Tottenham Hotspur (home), Arsenal (home), Everton (away).

Betfair are giving odds of 9/1 for Dyche to be named LMA Manager of the Year, but he will have competition from Capital One Cup winner and Premier League leaders Chelsea (Jose Mourinho), and Southampton manager Ronald Koeman.
