Burnley 9/5 to beat West Brom in Saturdays Premier League matchup

Competition: Premier League

Market: Burnley to beat West Brom

Odds: 9/5 @ Bet365

As the Premier League returns after the international break, players and managers will now be fully focused on mounting a late push up the table. With the league still incredibly tight, a single point could see any side jump several places. On that note, Burnley will travel to the Hawthorns to face a West Brom side on the brink of relegation.

For the hosts on Saturday afternoon, despite replacing Tony Pulis with Alan Pardew before the turn of the New Year, West Brom have endured an abysmal season that will undoubtedly see them dropping down to the Championship next season. After 20 Premier League matches this year, West Brom have recorded just three wins, 11 draws and 17 defeats, scoring 24 and conceding 49, no team in the division has scored fewer goals than West Brom. With a points tally of 20, the Baggies now sit 10 points adrift of safety and their recent form has shown no signs of improving. Losing their last eight Premier League matchups in a row, West Brom have now just recorded one win and one clean sheet since December 2017.

As for Burnley, while they haven’t been able to keep up with their astonishing start to the season, Burnley still remain this seasons surprise package. After 30 games, Burnley have won 11, drawn 10 and lost nine, scoring 27 and conceding 26, they now hold the fourth best defensive record in the division and the best of any side outside the top four. Now sat seventh in the table, Burnley are just five points adrift of Arsenal above them and hold a six-point advantage from falling out of the top half of the table. Before the international break, Burnley have only lost one of their last six outings, winning two and drawing three.
