Burnley welcome Cardiff City to Turf Moor tonight, and are hoping they can derail their opponents’ playoffs bid by boosting their own automatic promotion chances. The Clarets are leading way in the Championship with the season fast coming to a close, and a win tonight could see them all but confirmed.

Sean Dyche’s side are top of the Championship table with 76 points from 39 games this season, and are coming off the back of four wins and two draws. Burnley have lost just five games all season, and haven’t lost at home this year. They were held by Cardiff in their earlier meeting, but should have enough to win this time round,

The visitors haven’t been the most convincing away from home in recent weeks, dropping point in three of their last four games on their travels. Cardiff are 7th in the league with 62 points from 39 games, and have been leading a resurgence of late, but their poor away form keeps setting them back.
