Brighton & Hove Albion 6/10 to win against Cardiff City in Tuesday night’s Championship clash

Posted January 22nd, 2017 | By: Crippy Cooke

Competition: Championship
Market: Brighton to win against Cardiff
Odds: 6/10 @ William Hill

Brighton & Hove Albion welcome Cardiff City to the Falmer Stadium in the Championship on Tuesday night, and are favourites to see past travel-sick City to go top of the table and open up an eleven point lead over the sides in the playoff places.

Hosts Brighton are currently second in the Championship table with 57 points from 26 games this season, coming off the back of five wins from their last six. The Seagulls have been solid on home soil too, boasting four consecutive wins at the Falmer Stadium, and will fancy their chances against a Cardiff side who seldom win on the road.

As for the visitors, Cardiff City are 16th in the Championship with 33 points, having won three on the bounce. The Bluebirds have struggled on the road, however, having failed to win four of their last five away from home, but won’t lie down this week given they held Brighton to a goalless draw in the reverse fixture earlier in the season.

Nevertheless, Brighton’s home form coupled with Cardiff’s away woes sees the hosts being backed by William Hill with odds of 6/10 to pick up all three points at the Falmer Stadium.
