Brazil 1/6 to top Group A with a win against Cameroon this evening

Posted June 23rd, 2014 | By: Crippy Cooke

Competition: World Cup
Market: Brazil to win against Cameroon
Odds: 1/6 @ Betfair

Tournament favourites Brazil will top their group if they get a win against Cameroon, who have lost their two group games so far. Brazil, while taking four points from their first two World Cup outings, have been largely underwhelming in the competition. But they are being tipped to put on a good show against the African outfit tonight.

Despite boasting a host of attacking talent such as Oscar, Neymar and Willian, Brazil have had problems with their striker as Fred hasn’t performed too well so far for the five-time winners, but should perhaps have an easier time of it against a Cameroon side who have conceded five goals and scored none.

Betfair are backing the Samba boys too, with odds of 1/6 for Brazil to win. With third-place Croatia on three points, Brazil still aren’t through in their group, and are hoping they can better the result of Mexico’s game against the Croats. If Brazil lose, a draw between Mexico & Croatia will put the pair through. A draw for Scolari’s men will be enough to go through the group, however, while not a guarantee of topping it.
