In what could be a lively encounter to end this year’s MLS campaign, Toronto FC will host Columbus Crew on Sunday night.

Starting with the hosts, while Toronto FC might be struggling with their consistency at the back end of they campaign, they have already secured a play-off spot in the Eastern Conference. In their 33 MLS matches this season, they have recorded 12 wins, 11 draws and 10 defeats, scoring 56 and conceding 52 in return. With a points tally of 47 and holding an eight-point buffer overslipping out of the top-seven, the Reds could jump as high as fourth if results fo their way. As for their recent run of results, while Toronto might be unbeaten in their last nine MLS matches, each of those contests have seen both teams find the net.

As for the visitors, while Columbus Crew might be enjoying a bright end to the year, they know that any chance of a play-off push is off the cards. In their 33 MLS matches this season, they have recorded 10 wins, eight draws, and 15 defeats, scoring 39 and conceding 46 in return. With a points tally of 38, the Yellow and Blacks find themselves nine points adrift of the top-seven. As for their recent run of results, Columbus are unbeaten in their last five MLS matches. However, it is worth noting that all five of those contests have seen both teams find the net within 90 minutes.
