Both teams to score at Reading vs Peterborough 10/11 for Tuesday’s Championship contest

Competition: Championship

Market: Both teams to score

Odds: 10/11 @ 888sport

Two sides who have gained a reputation for their extended issues at the back, Reading will host Peterborough on Tuesday night in a contest that could see chances at both ends.

Starting with the hosts, throwing away what was a golden chance over the weekend, Reading have really shown a host of issues since opening the 2021/22 campaign. In their opening six Championship matchups so far this season, they have landed just a single win, one draw and four defeats, scoring 10 and conceding 16 in return. Managing to muster just a points tally of four and opening the midweek fixtures sat down in 22nd, it should also be noted that the Royals hold the worst-defensive record in the division. As for their recent run of results, eventually having to settle for an action-packed 3-3 draw against QPR on home soil, Reading have collected just a single point from their last four Championship contests. Without a clean sheet so far this season, it should also be noted that four of their last five matchups have finished with both teams finding the net.

As for the visitors, also in the midst of what has been a worrying rut, Peterborough are already tipped as one of the leading relegation picks following their second-tier return. In their opening six Championship matchups so far this season, they have also recorded just a single win, one draw and four defeats, scoring six and conceding 14 in return. Also mustering a points tally of four and with only their goal difference keeping them below Tuesday’s hosts, it should be noted that they hold the second-worst defensive tally in the division. As for their recent run of results, last seen getting hit with a 6-2 defeat away at Sheffield United, Peterborough have lost each of their last three Championship matchups on the spin. In a battle between two sides who find themselves showing a host of issues at the back, we’re backing both teams to find the net in midweek.
