Competition: MLS

Market: Both teams to score

Odds: 7/10 @ 888sport

Two sides who find themselves in the midst of their own extended blips, Montreal will host New York Red Bulls in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Starting with the hosts, throwing away the lead last week and hit with yet another defeat on the road, Montreal are enduring what has quickly become a real MLS nightmare run of form. In their 18 matchups so far this season, they have recorded six wins, five draws and seven defeats, scoring 24 and conceding 24 in return. Managing to muster themselves a points tally of 23, they open this weekend’s fixtures sat eighth in the table and now chasing a one-point deficit from breaking back into the Final Series places. However, as for their recent run of results, last seen getting hit with a 2-1 defeat away at D.C. United, Montreal are enduring a five-match winless, a run that has seen them suffer four defeats. It should also be noted, along with each of their last four MLS matchups on the spin, Montreal have seen six of their last seven contests finish with both teams finding the net.

As for the visitors, also continuing on what has been another worrying run of form, the New York Red Bulls are another side who find themselves in an uphill chase to secure a Final Series spot. In their 17 MLS matchups so far this season, they have recorded five wins, four draws and eight defeats, scoring 21 and conceding 22 in return. Managing to muster a points tally of 19, The Whites open this weekend’s fixtures sat ninth in the Eastern Conference and five points adrift of finding a route into the top-seven. As for their recent run of results, last seen getting hit with a 2-1 defeat against Chicago Fire on the road, New York have failed to win any of their last six MLS matchups. It should also be noted, with three of their last four away fixtures finishing with both teams finding the net, we’re backing a similar outcome here.
