Two sides looking to book their spot in the fourth round of this year’s FA Cup, Middlesbrough will host Tottenham on Sunday afternoon.

Starting with the hosts, enjoying quite the resurge in the Championship, Middlesbrough find the confidence in their camp at a season-high. In their 26 matches this season, they have recorded eight wins, nine draws, and nine defeats, scoring 26 and conceding 32 in return. With a points tally of 33, the Reds sit 16th in the Championship standings and now sit just four points adrift of the top half after skyrocketing up the table. As for their recent run of results, Middlesbrough are in the midst of a four-match winning run and they have scored a pair of goals in three of those victories. It should also be noted that the Reds have won their last four consecutive matches on home soil.

As for the visitors, while Tottenham might still remain in the top-four race, Spurs find themselves enduring yet another testing period. In their 21 Premier League matches this season, they have recorded eight wins, six draws, and seven defeats, scoring 36 and conceding 30 in return. Now sat six points adrift of the Champions League positions, the Lilywhites have won just one of their last four Premier League appearances and they have also won just one of their last five matches on the road across all competitions. It should also be noted that Tottenham have recorded just a single clean sheet in any of their last 12 outings.
