Botafogo welcome Internacional to the Olympic Stadium on Thursday morning in the Brazilian Serie A, and are favourites to pick up all three points to move up into a Copa Libertadores Qualification place in the table, confining the travel-sick Internacional to another week in the relegation zone.

Hosts Botafogo find themselves seventh in the Brazilian Serie A with 44 points from 29 games, and have won three of their last four outings ahead of Wednesday’s clash. Botafogo have been in fantastic form on home soil, winning five of their previous six at the Olympic Stadium, and could move up a place in the table with a win.

Botafogo are one point adrift of a coveted top-six place in the table which would see them in the Copa Libertadores Qualifiers, and the poor form of Internacional should make the hosts’ life easier. Internacional are 17th in the Brazilian Serie A with 33 points from 29 games, and have suffered five defeats from their last six away outings.

One point adrift of safety, and having lost four of their previous six overall, Internacional have picked up consecutive wins, but away from home they can’t replicate such form. As a result, William Hill are giving odds of 21/20 for Botafogo to win against Internacional.
