Borussia Dortmund 1/3 to see past Zenit to book quarter-final place in the Champions League
Competition: Champions League
Market: Dortmund to win against Zenit
Odds: 1/3 @ William Hill
Borussia Dortmund will book their place in the Champions League quarter-finals providing they only lose the second leg clash by just one clear goal, but last season’s Champions League runners-up are expected to make their home advantage count and seal another European victory against Zenit St Petersburg to go through with ease against their Russian counterparts.
William Hill are giving odds of 1/3 for Jurgen Klopp’s men to beat Zenit at Dortmund’s Westfalenstadion. A place in the last-eight is at stake against for the German giants, who last season shocked the football world by reaching the final of the prestigious European tournament – only to lose 2-1 to Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich.
While their domestic campaign has been rocky to say the least, Dortmund still remain a force to beat in Europe. The side were fortunate to qualify from Group F as champions, as the Germans, Arsenal and Napoli all finished on 12 points from their six games. But nevertheless, they will set about making it count. They beat Zenit 4-2 in the away leg, and come into the second leg off the back of two league wins from their last three.
