Birmingham 6/4 to suffer relegation from the Championship this season

Posted November 13th, 2014 | By: Crippy Cooke

Competition: Championship
Market: Birmingham to be relegated
Odds: 6/4 @ William Hill

Championship strugglers Birmingham City have only picked up two wins from their last 15 games, and find themselves languishing in the relegation zone as a result. The Midlands outfit are 23rd in the table, and supporters look set to endure another season of struggle.

Under former manager Lee Clark, the Blues staved off relegation on the final day of the season, with goal difference keeping them above 22nd-placed Doncaster Rovers. City have started the new season as badly as 2013/14, and could finally be relegated from the second tier if results don’t improve.

William Hill are giving odds of 6/4 for Birmingham City to suffer relegation from the Championship, as the struggling outfit have been declining every season in the second tier – 4th in 2011/12, 12th in 2012/13, 21st in 2013/14, and currently 23rd in 2014/15.

Birmingham have Bolton, Blackpool, and surprisingly Wigan Athletic for company in the lower reaches of the table, but there are many games to go in the season that is likely to see Wigan pull away from danger.
