Belgium 1/1 to reach the semi-finals of Euro 2016
Competition: Euro 2016
Market: Belgium to reach the semi-finals
Odds: 1/1 @ William Hill
Belgium national team manager Marc Wilmots recently named his squad for this summer’s European Championships, and the Rode Duivels are being tipped to shine given the quality at their disposal. Chelsea’s Eden Hazard, Man City’s Kevin De Bruyne and Tottenham’s Mousa Dembele are some of Belgium’s top-class individuals who could help the nation surpass expectations in the Euros.
Belgium reached the quarter-finals of the 2014 World Cup, narrowly losing out to a single goal against eventual runners-up Argentina. The strength of Marc Wilmots side going into this summer’s tournament puts Belgium as genuine favourites to go all the way, especially considering they’re currently ranked second. They’ve had defensive injury woes, but still boast a 23-man squad good enough to beat any competitor.
France, Germany, Spain, England and Italy are expected to fight with Belgium to make the final four of Euro 2016, but with the Rode Duivels boasting a squad strength matched only by Spain, it perhaps wouldn’t be a surprise to see an in-form Belgium outfit going the distance. William Hill are giving odds of 1/1 for Belgium to reach the semi-finals of the European Championships this summer as a result.
