The mid-point to the German Bundesliga is near, and Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben is enjoying a real purple patch of form in front of goal. The Netherlands international, 30, has scored nine goals in 12 league games this season, netting 50% of all Bayern’s goals scored in their last two Bundesliga outings.

Robben is currently second in the scoring charts, three goals behind top scorer Alexander Meier (12) of Eintracht Frankfurt, and looks like pushing him all the way this season. He’s Bayern’s top scorer so far – two goals ahead of Roberto Lewandowski, Mario Gotze and Thomas Muller – and has shown no signs of slowing down despite turning 31 in January.

888 Sport are giving odds of 4/1 for Robben to be the top Bundesliga scorer this season, with the Dutch winger enjoying the best scoring run in five years. The former Chelsea and Real Madrid man could enjoy his most prolific campaign to date, with his record goal tally being 16 scored in the Bundesliga in 2009/10.
