Bayern Munich 2/7 to comfortably see past CSKA Moscow in this evening’s Champions League clash

Posted December 10th, 2014 | By: Crippy Cooke

Competition: Champions League
Market: Bayern Munich to win against CSKA Moscow
Odds: 2/7 @ Ladbrokes

Bayern Munich will be hoping to see out their group stage campaign with a victory, after losing to Manchester City on gameweek five. Pep Guardiola’s men are top of the Group comfortably ahead of the three other teams, but they can have a large bearing on who goes through in second-place.

In Group E, Manchester City, AS Roma and CSKA Moscow all have five points from as many games in Europe. City face Roma tonight, meaning CSKA Moscow need a result against Bayern at the very minimum to stand a chance of going through. The Russia club have an inferior record to Roma, so they would finish below the Serie A side if the two finish level on points.

They can topple Manchester City, however, so they need a chain of events to go their way this evening. One of which is beating Bayern Munich at the Allianz-Arena. While largely invincible at home, the German’s have lost European fixtures in the past in front of their own fans, with Real Madrid putting four past them last season, and Manchester City winning 3-2 this time in 2013.

That being said, Ladbrokes are backing Bayern with odds of 2/7 to get all three points at home against CSKA.
