Bari and Cagliari 1/1 to draw in Friday night’s Italian Serie B clash

Posted May 5th, 2016 | By: Crippy Cooke

Competition: Serie B
Market: Bari and Cagliari to draw
Odds: 1/1 @ Ladbrokes

Bari welcome Serie B title-chasers Cagliari to the Stadio San Nicola tonight, and will be in for a difficult evening given the strength of their opponents. However, they could come away with a result due to home advantage coupled with the visitors’ inconsistent away form, so it should be somewhat of an even affair.

Bari are fourth in Serie B with 65 points from 39 games, enjoying an eight-game unbeaten run which includes six wins. They are just one place below third with three games still to play, and could well deliver a result this week given their form at the Stadio San Nicola – losing just two of their 19 home games in the league.

As for their opponents, Cagliari are no slouches. The visitors are second in the league table with 74 points. They are four points adrift of leaders Crotone with nine points still available so they need a result on Friday to stand a chance of winning the title.

However, with the home side having drawn their last two games, and Cagliari drawing twice in their last five away games, Ladbrokes are giving odds of 1/1 for the two sides to play out a stalemate in Serie B on Friday.
