Barcelona 1/3 to win the Spanish La Liga title this season

Barcelona have responded perfectly after a recent slump in form to go back to the top of the Spanish La Liga table following a succession of wins. The Catalan giants suffered three consecutive defeats which threatened their title hopes, but have gone on to beat Deportivo La Coruna and Sporting Gijon to have their destiny in their own hands.

Luis Enrique’s men spiraled in mid-March, picking up just one point from four games, but they have thrashed their last two opponents to be back as leaders in La Liga. An 8-0 win away to Deportivo La Coruna preceded a 6-0 win over Sporting Gijon, and Barcelona are now three wins away from another title.

Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid are second and third respectively in La Liga, and have both picked up more points than Barcelona in recent weeks. However, Real are a point behind the Catalans, while Atleti have a worse head-to-head record which sees them below Enrique’s side in the table.

And with three winnable games to come to win the crown, Barcelona are being backed with odds of 1/3 with William Hill to clinch the La Liga title.
