Atlético Mineiro and Palmeiras 23/10 to draw Thursday’s Brazilian Serie A clash

Competition: Brazilian Serie A
Market: Atletico and Palmeiras to draw
Odds: 23/10 @ William Hill

Atlético Mineiro welcome Palmeiras to the Estádio Independência in Thursday’s Brazilian Serie A clash, in a game that could be close to call given the home side are strong in their own backyard and chasing a top-three finish, while the visitors are the current league leaders and strong on the road.

Home side Atletico find themselves fourth in the Brazilian Serie A table with 60 points from 34 games this season, coming off the back of just one win from their last four outings. However, Mineiro have been more convincing at the Estádio Independência, winning five of their last six home games ahead of this week’s clash with Palmeiras.

As for the visitors, Palmeiras are the league leaders with 70 points, having won three of their last four games. Away from home, Palmeiras boast four wins from their previous five, but they will face a tough task getting a result at the Estádio Independência.

Atletico need a win to boost their hopes of moving into the top-three for a Copa Libertadores spot, while Palmeiras are more than comfortable at the summit and could well settle for less in a tough fixture. As a result, William Hill are giving odds of 23/10 for Atlético Mineiro and Palmeiras to draw.
