Atletico Madrid travel to Gran Canaria to face Las Palmas in the Spanish La Liga on Saturday evening, and are big favourites to pick up all three points. Atleti are hoping to pick up their first win of the new season and will fancy their chances against a Las Palmas side who started the new campaign with a defeat.

As for the hosts, Manuel Márquez Roca’s Las Palmas side are currently 17th in the Spanish La Liga table, coming off the back of a 1-0 defeat to Valencia in their opener. Las Palmas are just one place above the relegation zone early on and face a tough task to see past an Atleti side who have beaten them in five of their last six head-to-heads.

As for the visitors, Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid find themselves ninth in the division, having drawn their opener 2-2 to Girona. Last season, they finished 11 places and 39 points better off than Las Palmas in La Liga and should make such a gulf in class count when the two sides lock horns at Gran Canaria. William Hill are giving odds of 3/4 for Atletico to pick up all three points.
