Atlanta United welcome LA Galaxy to the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in the MLS on Thursday morning, and are big favourites to come out on top given the contrasting form between the two sides. Atlanta could move up a place in the table with a win, and will fancy their chances with the Galaxy short of wins in recent weeks.

As for the hosts, Gerardo Martino’s Atlanta United side are currently fifth in the Eastern Conference table with 43 points from 27 games, coming off the back of two wins from their last three outings.

United have been flawless on home soil in recent weeks, boasting four wins and two draws from their last half a dozen games in their own backyard, and the woeful away form of La Galaxy should see the hosts take advantage.

As for the visitors, Sigi Schmid’s LA Galaxy side find themselves 10th in the Western Conference table with 27 points from 28 games, having lost four of their last six. Away from home, the Galaxy have lost four of their previous five, and William Hill are giving odds of 7/20 for United to see past LA Galaxy.
