Aston Villa’s Tim Sherwood 9/5 to be next manager to exit his post
Competition: Premier League
Market: Tim Sherwood next manager to exit post
Odds: 9/5 @ 888 Sport
Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood is under intense pressure this season. The 46-year-old has endured a woeful start in his first full campaign, and finds himself as the bookies’ favourites to be the next out of the door. Sherwood joined the club in February last season, and helped to avoid relegation, while leading the Villans to the FA Cup final.
However, things have since gone sour very quickly, with Aston Villa currently in the relegation zone, four points off safety after eight games. They have lost six times already, while dropping points to the likes of Crystal Palace, Sunderland, Leicester City, West Brom and Stoke City. And with Chelsea, Swansea, Tottenham, Manchester City and Everton to come, Sherwood’s fate could be sealed if their struggle continues.
The Aston Villa boss isn’t the only one under pressure, however, with Steve McClaren (Newcastle United) and Jose Mourinho (Chelsea) both enduring below-par campaigns. However, 888 Sport are giving odds of 9/5 for Sherwood to be the next manager to exit his post this season.
