Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke has been linked with a move away from the Midlands club this summer, after having endured a relegation battle for the last three seasons. The Belgian international has been fighting the drop with the Villans in every campaign since he joined the club, but this summer could well see him finally leave to pursue his ambitions of playing in Europe.

He’s been outstanding at the tail end of the season for Villa, but endured an FA Cup final defeat to Arsenal that could well see him consider a move elsewhere. Liverpool are one of many sides reportedly keen on his signature, with the Reds looking to bolster their attack after suffering with strikers in 2014/15, which sees Ladbrokes giving odds of 7/4 for Benteke to make the move to Merseyside.

Liverpool aren’t the only side keen on Benteke, with Manchester United and Atletico Madrid having been linked too. The Belgian has already handed in a transfer request in his time at Villa Park, and would certainly jump at the chance to join a club at the upper reaches of the table.
