Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke has been linked with a move away from the Midlands club, with this season not having gone to plan for the Belgian. He suffered a lengthy injury that saw him miss the World Cup, and he’s since been finding his best form.

Clubs have shown an interest in the former Genk star, with Tottenham, Liverpool and even Arsenal having been linked over the last 18 months, but Tottenham appear to be in pole position for his signature.

The Londoners are looking to sell to buy, with Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado likely to be on their way out of the club in the near future. That will leave a void for somebody to come in, and Benteke is being given odds of 1/1 to make Spurs his next club should he leave Villa Park.

Benteke shouldn’t break the bank either, with Villa likely to accept around £15M, providing they can line up an adequate replacement.
