In-form Aston Villa have the chance to win three home games in a row when Stoke City travel to Villa Park on Sunday. The Midlands outfit are favourites for victory, and are being backed with odds of 6/5 by Ladbrokes.

Should Paul Lambert’s men get all three points, it will be the first time in seven years that the side have won three home games in a row, and would all but confirm their Premier League status for another season.

But Stoke City will be a difficult opponent. The Potters have lost just one game in their last seven – amassing 12 points. However, their away form remains a worry. City haven’t won on their travels since August, and have only taken four points from the 13 games that have followed.

Aston Villa’s home form used to something of a worry, but with three victories and a draw from their last five matches at Villa Park now means there’s no trepidation in the side for home games.
