Aston Villa 4/11 to finish the 2014/15 season in the bottom half

Posted June 9th, 2014 | By: Crippy Cooke

Competition: Premier League
Market: Aston Villa to finish in the bottom half
Odds: 4/11 @ William Hill

With Midlands side Aston Villa having endured another relegation battle and disappointing campaign, albeit while staying up, they are being tipped for another campaign of mediocrity in 2014/15.

Villa finished in 15th place in the table last season, the same as they did in 2012/13. And as a result, William Hill are giving odds of 4/11 for the club to once again end the season in the bottom half of the table.

Paul Lambert’s side have finish in the bottom-half in the last three seasons, and unless they receive some serious investment the trend will continue.

Their defence has been a really worry, as they’ve conceded over 60 goals in the last two seasons on average, which has meant their job being extra hard when they can keep out their opposition.

While relegation will be a worry for the club, such has been their poor showings in the last few years, they’ve shown themselves to have just enough to remain in the Premier League, but 2014/15 promises to be another gruelling campaign for Villa.
