Aston Villa are in appalling form of late. The Midlands outfit have lost six games in a row in the Premier League, but did arrest the slide with a 0-0 draw against West Ham recently. Paul Lambert’s side are winless in their last seven league games, and desperately need a result tomorrow night against Southampton.

Unfortunately for them, the Saints have been unstoppable. Ronald Koeman’s men are second in the Premier League, and have won four games in the bounce without conceding. Past form of the two sides would suggest an easy win for the South Coast side, but it’s worth noting that Southampton haven’t beaten the Villans in their last two league meetings.

Villa Park has been anything but a fortress under manager Paul Lambert, but the players are all fighting for survival, and with the Claret & Blues suffering a host of injuries, there will be a pack mentality to make life difficult for the surprise packages on Monday night.
