Title-chasers AS Roma host top-four hopefuls Sampdoria in the Serie A tonight, with the second-placed outfit desperate to put their poor form behind them to get their hopes of toppling league leaders Juventus with 12 games remaining.

Sampdoria, however, will be a very difficult side to pick up points from, as they’ve lost just four games of their 26 played this season. Back-to-back wins against Atalanta and Cagliari sees them on course to finish in the top-four of the Italian Serie A, but Roma – while enduring a slump – have been difficult to beat in their own backyard.

The hosts are unbeaten in 16 games, but have drawn eight of their last nine. Rudi Garcia’s side have been struggling for goals, netting just seven goals in their previous eight, but they are long overdue a performance at home, and have always stepped up against strong opposition.

William Hill are giving odds of 4/6 for Roma to finally end their wait for a league win. They drew against Sampdoria earlier in the season, and will be desperate to get all three points this time.
