AS Roma have been busy in the transfer market this summer in a bid to challenge Juventus for the Italian Serie A title. Managed by Luciano Spalletti, who twice won the Serie A coach of the year and three cup trophies in his first stint at Roma, I Giallorossi are hoping to finally win a long-awaited league crown.

It’s been 15 years since Roma last won the league crown, but they are bolstering the side this summer to ensure they have a strong enough squad to challenge this time round. Juventus and Napoli are expected to challenge I Giallorossi in the title race, and it could well go down to the wire.

Roma have finished in the top-three of the Serie A in each of the last three seasons, hitting 80 points or more in two of the previous three campaigns too. They have lost just 15 games in their last 114 league outings, and are holding onto their best-performing stars amid outside interest.

It’s worth noting I Giallorossi beat the Serie A champions Juve, title-challengers Napoli and took points off Inter Milan last season. As a result, William Hill are giving odds of 4/1 for AS Roma to win the Serie A title this season.
