AS Roma made it back-to-back league wins on the weekend with victory away to Palermo, and the Giallorossi are slowly making an ascent up the Serie A table to challenge at the summit. Rudi Garcia’s men finished the weekend fourth in the table, four points off first-placed Fiorentina.

After finishing runners-up to Juventus for the last two seasons in the Serie A, Roma are desperate to go one better now the Old Lady are struggling for results.Fiorentina lead the way early on this season, coming off the back of five consecutive wins. Inter Milan are second, and Lazio third. Roma have real competition to challenge at the top, but the Italians boast a strong squad of players to make up the deficit.

The likes of Miralem Pjanic, Gervinho and Alessandro Florenzi have enjoyed a bright start to the campaign, and Roma will be looking to continue their winning form in the league. Ladbrokes are giving odds of 23/10 for AS Roma to win the Serie A title this season, with the Italians desperate to end their 14-year wait for the league crown, with their 2001 triumph the last time they ruled the roost.
