AS Monaco 1/6 to win against AS Saint-Etienne in tonight’s French Ligue 1 clash

AS Monaco welcome AS Saint-Etienne to the Stade Louis II in the French Ligue 1 tonight, and are big favourites to pick up all three points to seal the title for the first time since 2000. Monaco need only to avoid defeat to win the Ligue 1 crown and shouldn’t have any trouble against a win-shy St Etienne side with little to play for.

Leonardo Jardim’s AS Monaco side are currently top of the Ligue 1 table with 89 points from 36 games this season, three clear of defending champions Paris Saint-Germain, who can now only win the title on goal difference. Monaco, boasting 16 wins and two draws from their last 18, have a 17-goal lead over PSG and should see past St Etienne given they have won 16 of 18 home games.

As for the visitors, Christophe Galtier’s AS Saint-Etienne side find themselves eighth in the division with 50 points, having won just one of their last six games. Five wins from 17 away games sees them as underdogs ahead of tonight’s trip to the Stade Louis II, and William Hill are giving odds of 1/6 for champions-elect Monaco to win against St Etienne as a result.
