Arsenal 9/10 to sign QPR’s Loic Remy this summer
Competition: Premier League
Market: Arsenal to sign Loic Remy
Odds: 9/10 @ 888 Sport
With Arsenal in the market for an affordable and prolific striker, the Gunners may reignite their interest in Queens Park Rangers’ Loic Remy this summer.
The French international was at the World Cup with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger watching a selection of all the games in Brazil, and he will almost certainly have Remy on his shortlist.
Last season, the 27-year-old greatly impressed during his loan spell with Newcastle United, scoring 14 goals for the Magpies. As Arsenal were in need of another forward to take the scoring burden off Olivier Giroud, Wenger was keen on Remy as he can also play out wide if the Londoners line up with just one forward.
Remy was seen watching Arsenal during a home game last season, and it’s believed he’d relish the chance to speak with the FA Cup winners if they make an official approach.
Time is running out to sign their top shortlisted players as there’s a month before the new season starts, and Remy won’t be available for long considering how many clubs are keen on his services.
