Arsenal 6/5 to miss out on the top-four following poor start to the season

Posted October 19th, 2014 | By: Crippy Cooke

Competition: Premier League
Market: Arsenal to finish outside of the top-four this season
Odds: 6/5 @ Coral

After dropping yet more points on a match day weekend, Arsenal find themselves 11 points off top spot just eight games into the new season. The Gunners rescued a draw at home to Hull City, but Arsene Wenger’s men have now only picked up one league victory in their last seven games. Arsenal are seventh in the league, with 11 points from eight matches so far, and many believe they will miss out on a top-four finish as a result.

With Manchester United re-finding their form, coupled with the rise of Southampton, Arsenal have extra competition to finish in the Champions League places. Not to mention, Merseyside giants Liverpool & Everton who are expected to challenge in the coming weeks.

Coral are giving odds of 6/5 for Arsenal to miss out on a top-four finish as a result of their dreadful start to the new campaign, but there are still many more points to play for. Supporters are starting to lose patience, as the title aspirations look to have been ruled out already in October.
