Arsenal 2/5 to beat Swansea in hunt for title race

Posted March 24th, 2014 | By: Crippy Cooke

Competition: Premier League
Market: Arsenal to win against Swansea
Odds: 2/5 @ Ladbrokes

Following their 6-0 thrashing against Chelsea, Arsenal have a must-win clash against Swansea City that would surely spell the end of their title hopes if they failed to get all three points. Ladbrokes are backing the Londoners with odds of 2/5 to emerge victorious at the Emirates stadium, and the players will certainly be keen to repay the fans and manager.

With three defeats from their last six games – and one draw – Arsenal are enduring horrendous form at the worst time of the campaign. Manchester City now find themselves as favourites to win the title, while Arsenal aren’t even expected to finish in the top-3 now.

Crunch games to come against Manchester City & Everton are expected to see the Gunners’ season unravel within the next few weeks, and considering Wenger’s men have taken just a point against the aforementioned in their first meetings this season, Arsenal have a monumental task trying to get much-needed wins.

They do have a good recent record against Swansea, however – beating them 2-1 at the Liberty stadium this season, and 2-0 last campaign again away from home. With Swansea in poor form – winless in their last five – Arsenal should romp to victory.
