Arsenal 2/1 to miss out on a top-4 finish

Posted March 30th, 2014 | By: Crippy Cooke

Competition: Premier League
Market: Arsenal to finish outside of the top-four
Odds: 2/1 @ Coral

With Everton’s resurgence in the Premier League this season, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger admitted his side are looking over their shoulders for a top-four finish.

Everton have Fulham this afternoon, and victory against the relegation-threatened side will see them go four points behind the Gunners in the table – with a game in hand, and a match against Arsenal to come.

As a result, Coral are giving odds of 2/1 for Arsenal to miss out on the top-four – with their 2014 form being considerably worse than that of their rivals.

Wenger’s men are winless in their last three games, while having only won two games from their previous eight. Such a horrific run of form has seen them out of the title race and now facing a struggle to remain in a Champions League place. They managed a top-four finish last season by ending up just one point ahead of North London rivals Tottenham – who were fifth.

This campaign promises to be another close fight for a top-four finish, but will Arsenal be the side missing out on it this time, potentially at the expense of Everton?
