Armenia welcome Kazakhstan to the Hanrapetakan Stadium in Sunday’s World Cup qualifier, and are favourites to come out on top to potentially finish the day in third place if results go their way. Armenia haven’t been too convincing in the qualifiers so far but Kazakhstan have struggled even more and are likely to come unstuck.

Hosts Armenia are currently fifth in Group E with three points from four games, having ended a run of three consecutive defeats with a recent win over Montenegro. The win came on home soil and a Kazakhstan side with a poor record on the road are likely to come unstuck at the Hanrapetakan Stadium this weekend.

As for the visitors, Kazakhstan are one place and one point worse off than Armenia in the table, having yet to win a game in the qualifiers. The underdogs have scored three goals and conceded 11, enduring two heavy defeats on the road to Montenegro and Denmark, and aren’t likely to get a result against a somewhat resurgent Armenia.

As a result, William Hill are giving odds of 10/11 for Armenia to win against Kazakhstan to breath some life into their qualifying campaign.
