USA host Argentina in the semi-final of this summer’s Copa America Centenario at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, but could come unstuck to the favourites given the gulf in class between the two sides. USA have home advantage, but can’t match the quality in the Argentina squad which is likely to be to their undoing.

USA are the host nation of the tournament, and have surpassed expectation to make it this far. They topped Group A with six points from a possible nine, finishing above the likes of Colombia, Costa Rica and Paraguay. A 2-1 win over Ecuador in the quarter-finals sees them in the final four with a slim chance of making the final.

However, their opponents Argentine will take some beating. The Sky Blues topped Group D with a maximum nine points, having scored 10 goals and conceding only one, beating runners-up Chile in the process. In the quarter-finals, Argentina thrashed Venezuela and are favourites to eliminate the USA on Wednesday.

The talent at their disposal are finally showing their quality on the pitch, and Argentina are expected to get the USA side the runaround at the NRG Stadium as a result. William Hill are giving odds of 4/9 for Argentina to win against USA to reach the final of the Copa America this summer.
