On Saturday, Argentina will look to put together their final preparations before heading to Russia this summer as they travel to Isreal for an international friendly.

For the hosts on Saturday, after a poor qualifying campaign, Isreal have missed out on this summers World Cup finals. After 10 games in Group G, Isreal won four, drew 0 and lost six, scoring 10 and conceding 15 in return, the hosts held the second-worst attacking stats in qualifying. Finishing their campaign with a points tally of 12, the hosts ended the group stage 11 points adrift of the playoff spot. As for their recent form, Isreal have continued to struggle and have now lost six of their last eight. Even more worrying for the hosts, they have now kept just one clean sheet in those eight and have also scored just two goals in their last six.

As for the visitors, although they may have left it late, Argentina booked their spot in Russia and will share a group with Iceland, Nigeria and Croatia. After 18 games in the South American qualifying, Argentina won seven, drew seven and lost four, scoring 19 and conceding 16 in return, they finished qualifying with the second best defensive record. With a points tally of 28, The Blue and Whites finished in third and held just a two-point buffer over dropping out of qualification.  As for their recent form, Argentina have now lost two of their last 11 in all competitions and have also now kept clean sheets in four of their last seven.
