Alex McLeish 1/2 to be appointed the next Huddersfield manager
Competition: Championship
Market: Alex McLeish to be next Huddersfield manager
Odds: 1/2 @ Coral
After Mark Robins resigned as Huddersfield manager following a 4-0 home defeat to AFC Bournemouth, former Aston Villa, Birmingham and Nottingham Forest head coach Alex McLeish is in line to succeed him. A fully of bets saw the Scot’s odds slashed overnight.
The Terriers haven’t started the season well, with just three points from as many games so far, and as a result they are hoping to name a new manager as soon as possible.
Coral are giving odds of 1/2 for Alex McLeish to be the next manager at the helm, but the likes of Chris Powell, Steven Pressley, Chris Hughton and Patrick Kluivert have also been linked in recent days.
After Town finished in 17th place last season, with 53 points from 46 games, it will be a big task at hand to ensure they can stay comfortably away from the relegation zone this season.
Since promotion from League One in 2012, Huddersfield have finished in the bottom-half of the table, and as a result they the job will be a challenge for a new manager.
