Ajax are enjoying a strong start to the new season, with the Dutch giants currently top of the Eredivisie after 12 games. Frank De Boer’s men are two points clear of last season’s winners PSV Eindhoven, and look on course to win back their title come May. Their only defeat in the division came against the holders, and the stiff competition at the top is sure to make the title race an entertaining spectacle.

Coming off the back of three wins from their last four games, Ajax look a well-oiled machine, and are no longer dropping points against weaker opposition like they did in 2014/15. The Amsterdam club fell considerably short to PSV last season, finishing 17 points adrift of the eventual winners, but they have fixed the problems and hit the ground running from the off.

Ajax started the new season with four consecutive wins, but PSV are somewhat keeping up the pace in the Eredivisie.
