Newly-promoted Premier League side AFC Bournemouth travel to face Championship strugglers Preston North End on Tuesday night in the Capital One Cup, and are hoping to continue their fine run of form to book their place in the fourth round. The Cherries are coming off the back of a home win against Sunderland in the league, and have only lost once in their last four outings.

Preston are enduring a season to forget after their promotion from League One in the summer. The home side are currently rock-bottom of the table after six games this season, and are yet to pick up a win in the Championship. They surprisingly beat Premier League side Watford in the second round to make it this far, but Tuesday could see them coming unstuck.

Bournemouth have two wins from their last four Premier League games, and are sure to take their opposition seriously. Eddie Howe’s men thrashed Hartlepool United 4-0 on the road in the second round, and are being backed by Ladbrokes with odds of 20/21 to come out on top in this week’s encounter.
